I Became the Vicious Male Supporting Character, and the Villain Is My Ex

After a painful breakup left Xia Yue dazed, he took one hard tumble during a sprint relay at the school sports meet. Everything went black. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself inside a melodramatic ancient romance novel featuring two male leads, cast as the vicious cannon-fodder supporting man.

In the novel, neither the male lead nor his love interest ever says what he really feels, and they put each other through endless agony. The vicious supporting man is just one part of their game, a tool for bringing them closer together.

He’s in love with the male lead, and does everything he can to steal him from the love interest. He constantly bullies the other man, until the male lead orders his hands and feet broken and has him thrown in with the beggars. His end is miserable.

Xia Yue has just entered the novel, and the scene before him is the one where he has finished insulting the love interest. After a storm of curses in his head, he turns to the male lead and says goodbye. “You two have a thing for tragic love. Go torture each other yourselves. I’m out!”

But the moment Xia Yue turns around, he crashes straight into a solid chest. Rubbing his forehead, he looks up. “Hey, watch where you’re going! Huh? My ex?!”

No, wait! That can’t be his ex. This is the novel’s main villain! Then can someone explain why this big-shot villain talks and acts exactly like his sorry excuse for an ex?!
