On the banks of the Wangchuan River, flowers are blooming on the other side. The flower demon Manzhu and the leaf demon Shahua share the same roots but are forever separated by flowers and leaves. They are moved by one thought, meet in private, and finally touch the power of God. The two were punished to fall into the mortal world, undergo seven lives of reincarnation, and suffer seven lives of heart-wrenching torture—sometimes they don't recognize each other, sometimes they fall in love but can't love each other, or they are separated by life and death. The suffering of every life confirms the heavenly rule that "flowers and leaves will never meet", but there is also a trace of unwillingness hidden in it.
