In an apocalypse overrun by cat demons, where hope is fading, the last refuge, Fanlong Town, faces the threat of its barrier collapsing. A white cat named Lin Hai arrives in this final haven, carrying a mysterious potion bottle left by his parents and a seemingly ordinary bell. The bell's clear chime can soothe pain, and the potion can work miracles, but what he longs for is more than peace: he wants to uncover the truth behind his strange origins.
Yet crises keep piling up. When the blood-red eyes beyond the barrier draw near once more, Lin Hai is forced to fight alongside his companions: Rockclaw, a shield-bearer as unyielding as stone; Windeye, a scout as swift as the wind; and Xiaomang, a healer with a compassionate heart. The four of them must leave the barrier's protection and venture into the perilous wasteland in search of the legendary “Source of the Bubble Spring,” said to be capable of turning the tide.
Along the way, they discover that the true darkness is far more than just cat demons. Ancient conspiracies begin to surface, and twisted hearts prove more terrifying than monsters. Then, in a desperate battle, a sharp crack rings out and Lin Hai's bell suddenly shatters, unleashing a power unlike anything he has ever known... Is this a harbinger of destruction, or the overture to a new beginning?
When the bell of protection no longer rings whole, who will lift the torch of hope? A fantastical journey of courage, trust, and sacrifice begins.
