The Book of Ciyin: The Zhaoming Era

[The empress rules for her; a deity descends to the mortal realm for her] Dual heroines + master-disciple romance + two strong leads + happy ending

I am Hua Ciyin, supreme ruler of the immortal realm, reincarnated as a young physician.

She is Hua Zhaoming, the disciple I raised with my own hands, now the most honored princess in the mortal world.

I spread my teachings and save lives, hoping to heal this cruel world, where rigid class divisions devour the weak;

She arrives at the head of an army, captures me in front of everyone, and crushes every shred of my dignity.

The world mocks me for my delusions, saying I’ve sullied the royal bloodline.

No one knows that late at night, she takes off her phoenix crown and places the empire’s power in my hands:

“Master, if you wish to save this world, then I will be the sword in your hand.”

“This mortal world doesn’t deserve your compassion. Let your disciple join you in overthrowing it. What do you say?”

And so, I shatter the chains of class with my Heaven-Mourning Sword, while she burns the old imperial order to ashes with her Heaven-Incinerating Flame.

This is no tale of turning the tables. It is the most thorough revolution ever launched for humankind, with a deity and an emperor joining forces.

Later, the official histories recorded:

[The empress ruled for her; a deity descended to the mortal realm for her. Together, they ushered in a brand-new era.]
