Born into another world with the bloodline of a nine-tailed fox, Liu Sanzhang initially expects to coast on his family’s prestige. But during a mission, he accidentally falls into the Abyss of Mist and nearly loses his life.
At the brink of death, he is taken in by the isolated Mistfolk. Far from the world’s conflicts, he begins an unexpected “working life” in Mistfolk Village. He learns to repair mechanical watches from the eccentric old man Kawei, working gears and springs with his fingertips. He unexpectedly unlocks a talent for building mecha, combining the technological knowledge he remembers from Earth with the skills of this other world to create mechanical marvels all his own.
He adopts Gou Dan, an odd “not-quite-anything” dog he found in the mist, only to discover it’s a rare hidden gem of a pet. He befriends a group of very different people from other races and finds sincere bonds that transcend species.
His nine-tailed bloodline quietly awakens, and his memories of Earth conceal a mystery. The depths of the mist hold not only unknown dangers, but also secrets powerful enough to overturn the continent.
Liu Sanzhang: “Wasn’t I supposed to be a scion of a prestigious family making a comeback? How did I end up Mistfolk Village’s chief mechanic?”
Old Man Kawei: “Boy, your clocks can already fetch a high price. Time to make a name for yourself beyond the mist!”
When bloodline powers collide with the roar of machinery, and Earth’s wisdom meets the laws of another world, watch Liu Sanzhang work his way up through the Mist Continent, break through the limits of his bloodline, and tear through the mist with his pet and friends to forge a legendary path of his own!
Not bad, I'll wait and see again 😳
