The Apocalypse: My King of Fighters Combos Never End

A Serious Disclaimer: This Is Not Mindless Wish Fulfillment. If You Have No Patience, Please Move Along

This is not a quick read that leaves your mind empty when you finish.

If you want an overpowered hero from the start, an invincible System, and beautiful women throwing themselves at him, please do not open this book.

If you seek airtight logic, contests of human nature, and a realistic exploration of how humanity might survive the apocalypse, then welcome.

[Worldview: The Farmer and the Reapers]

Red rain, spiritual energy, global mutations... These are not gifts from God, but “fertilizer” from gods and demons of another world.

When Blue Star becomes a breeding ground and the Awakened are reduced to living batteries, less than one-tenth of human civilization remains.

We once baptized the earth in nuclear fire, and we once repaired our walls with blood,

but when five “Demon Kings” descended upon the world,

humanity finally understood: We were not at war. We were merely waiting to be harvested.

An outsider who has mastered the essence of KOF combat.

He crawls out of a glassy crater at the heart of a nuclear blast,

purple flames in his hand, his heart cold as ice.

He does not want to save the world. He only wants to protect, amid the collapse of order,

that small glimmer known as “home.”

[Author’s Preface: This Is About Civilization Saving Itself]

I want to write about the apocalypse as I imagine it.

I want to write about power struggles among the elite, soldiers’ helplessness, civilians’ despair, and the chaos that erupts when order collapses.

What I want to explore is this: If the final day really came, what could we do? What should we do?
