The Old Case of Baishui Town

After leaving the police force to become a private detective, former criminal investigator Lin Yan takes an anonymous case to reopen the investigation into the Baishui Town massacre from 20 years ago. The case was closed as a robbery-murder at the time, but it was riddled with suspicious details.

When he returns to town, he is met with a cold shoulder and followed. A forensic doctor dies mysteriously, a pharmaceutical company is implicated, and former colleagues are hiding secrets. The trail also leads to a secret organization called the Abyss. After Lin Yan is framed, he joins forces with the Chen family’s niece to investigate. They eventually catch the real culprit, but the Abyss is not completely destroyed, leaving questions for the next chapter.
