Back on the Day of the Marriage Swap, I Choose to Marry the Comatose Prince

[Reborn, mother-daughter rivalry, marriage first and love later]

In her previous life, Bai Xiyue refused to switch marriages and get in the way of her elder sister, making herself her mother’s enemy.

To punish her, her elder sister seduced her husband and slept in her marital bed, leaving him to neglect her until she became a laughingstock at the Third Prince’s residence.

Her mother resented her for being ungrateful and refused to prepare a dowry. In the end, to silence her for good, she tricked Bai Xiyue into drinking poisoned wine. After she died, her mother hired a Daoist priest to ensure she would never be reborn.

As she lay dying, Bai Xiyue learned her mother’s secret and was reborn on the very day the marriages were to be switched.

This time, she chose to go through with the switch and marry the comatose Prince.

She no longer seeks her mother’s love. She’ll live for herself.

Step by step, she exposes her mother’s true nature, pulls her elder sister down from her pedestal, and safely marries Prince Gong.

With Prince Gong unconscious and seemingly unlikely ever to wake, she is the sole mistress of the prince’s residence.

By day, she keeps the household in perfect order and enjoys a carefree life.

At night, she massages her comatose husband’s hands and feet, content to remain a widow in all but name.

There’s just one strange thing: every night, she dreams of a ghost pinning her down, leaving her unable to breathe.

She calls in a Daoist priest to drive away the ghost, but instead he wakes her husband, who was never expected to regain consciousness.

Bai Xiyue is uneasy. Her carefree days are over.

“Your Highness, I switched our marriages without your consent. If you’re unhappy with it, we can divorce.”

Prince Gong’s gaze settles on her lips.

“No need. Keep being my princess consort, and carry on as usual.”

He went to such lengths to wake up by using the ghost exorcism as an opportunity. How could he let his princess consort leave?
