In the "Mastan Country", a country on the edge of modern war, a group of people with different personalities formed a temporary alliance. They each have ideals and long for peace, but they are involved in a cruel power game. War depicts absurd reality, and the system plays the dual roles of comedy and tragedy. Lin Shan satirizes corrupt officials with his pen, Emil questions the responsibility for the disorder, Tao Li interprets the chaos with performance art, Mulik uses jokes and "underground business" to feed the victims, and Semira leads the underground organization to seek peace. Five story lines are intertwined, humor collides with tragedy. Amidst the fire, the whirlpool of fate and the absurdity of the system, everyone used self-deprecation and friendship as a shield to grow into truly responsible and strong people who know how to face the absurd world with a smile. The story ends with a climax of conflict, friendship and personal redemption, and the ending unexpectedly allows them to usher in "some kind of imperfect peace."
