In the troubled times where cruelty and absurdity coexist in modern war, a group of six people come from completely different social classes and camps. Carlo, Matilda, Ivan, Amin, Leah and Colin are connected by fate, and embark on the road of survival, struggle and truth-seeking amidst the whirlpool of power and gunfire. They used self-deprecation, humor and friendship to resist the huge absurdity set by fate. Everyone experienced shaken beliefs, disillusionment of ideals and growth and transformation. The three chapters describe how the characters acted as fulcrums for each other in the darkest moments of the war, adhering to the ideal of peace despite the absurdity of the system and the ruthlessness of fate, and finally, with perseverance and unity, the glimmer of reason made it through the troubled times. They grow up to be their own ideal warriors, but they also understand that surviving in an absurd era is the greatest victory.
