Zhong Yinsheng passed by an ancient tomb to relax and was mysteriously summoned to a deserted village. This place is called "Ominous Village", and there are only twelve people left in the village.
The rules are strange: During the day, everyone gathers to vote to decide the target, and at night, they need to find the person who caused the crisis.
Trapped in five reincarnations, Zhong Yinsheng's identity changes in each round: a helpless ordinary person, a lonely tombkeeper guarding the cemetery, a prophet who foresaw danger, Lin Qiyue who turned into a ghost, and a murderer who witnessed it.
He doesn't walk alone. The partners summoned together: the guard (private detective) who has insight into the clues, the prophet, the weak scholar Wen Zhuo, the ghost Lin Qiyue, the murderer Xu Wangchuan - their identities are intertwined, and trust is difficult to build. At the same time, we have to deal with the village chief, the old fortune teller, the hunter and his son, the young widow, the mysterious old woman at the end of the village and her granddaughter, the bachelor guard, the silly face hidden in the Taoist village, and the unpredictable movements of three monks in the Taoist village (including a woman disguised as a man).
Zhong Yinsheng must use the unique perspective of the five reincarnations to piece together clues with his companions in the fog, see through the villagers' secrets, and finally uncover the mysterious chess player who summons everyone and controls everything, in order to break this weird first seven reincarnations...

I didn't understand it at first. The more I read, the more obscure it becomes. There are many doubts about the plot. I thought the writing was messy. The more I read, the more powerful the setting becomes. It's fascinating and beautiful. I rated this book over 9 points. I used A1 to write and thought it was boring. I didn't expect it to be such a good book. I highly recommend it @everyone.
