Shen Tingyue, a graduate student in the Department of Modern History, lived through the life of a soldier in the border army in the late Ming Dynasty. With his military knowledge, he improved firearms and trained troops to defend against enemies. He rose from the rank of commander to the rank of Marquis of Pingqing. He went through the great victories of Ningyuan and Songjin, and finally defeated the Qing Dynasty in 1643. Together with Zhao Shi, Su Wenyuan and other close friends, they worked hard to turn the tide amidst internal and external troubles and rewrite the crisis of the Han people.
