The Prince's Beloved Blind Beauty

Yun Jiyao, the illegitimate daughter of the Minister of Rites, is chosen for her birth date and hour to take her elder sister's place in marriage to Xiao Jue, the Prince of Dingbei. He is afflicted with a strange poison, blind, and stripped of his military command. The whole capital is waiting to laugh at this match between a frail prince and a substitute bride. Yun Jiyao only wants to keep to herself in the prince's residence and quietly save money so she can leave one day. She has no idea that the seemingly gentle, fallen prince sees everything in the darkness, and has long since engraved her companionship and protection in his heart. When his poison is cured, his sight restored, and he is on the verge of reclaiming his power, he finds only a letter of divorce she left behind. “Now that Your Highness has recovered, my duty is done. I shall take my leave.” Xiao Jue, who has always planned for every contingency, loses his composure for the first time and sets out to win her back.
