[Escape System Live Stream]
As the System's cold prompt rings in his mind, the red glow of the countdown illuminates the fog at the end of the path to survival:
"Welcome to the Escape Livestream. The audience seats are filled with 7 billion 'spectators.' Every choice you make will be scrutinized under billions of watching eyes."
Lin Ye, an ordinary college student, discovers that he has become an "escapee" chosen by the System: the door of his rental apartment leads to random time periods and worlds, his fridge contains organs frozen with passwords attached, and even the deliveryman's helmet hides the key to the next level.
Even stranger, comments are always floating across his field of vision:
"Turn left! There's a teleportation talisman behind the third trash can!"
"Don't trust the woman in the red dress! In the last round, she swapped the streamer's kidney with an NPC's!"
"The System Shop just added 'Three-Second Precognition.' Would you trade ten years of your life for it?"
He must tear open a crack in the "scripts" laid out by the System: steal serum from a hospital besieged by zombies, break a family curse in an old Republic-era mansion, and wager his life against an AI in an interstellar prison... Yet among the "viewers" who seem to be helping him, some hide deadly traps in their tips, while others use their comments to send pleas for help across time and space.
When Lin Ye finally touches the System's core, he discovers the truth behind the livestream: every escapee was once a spectator, and every spectator is waiting for the day they become an escapee.
"Congratulations, streamer. You have one chance to rewrite the rules: will you end the livestream forever, or let everyone experience what it's like to be watched?"
The comments flood the screen in an instant, and 7 billion gazes congeal behind him into invisible chains.
