Kingdom of Locke: The Villain Rises from the Shadows

Game designer Li Yunfeng is laid off, then transmigrates into the Kingdom of Loathing, the very game he designed. From the start, he is bound to a Villain System, becoming a disposable minion in the Shadow Council, armed with a handwritten letter of recommendation from Enzo. His ultimate mission: overthrow the kingdom and become the Dark King.

Well, he’s the only native in the whole server who knows the plot! Players are the Fourth Calamity, Enzo is a Nightmare puppet, and the System is a trap meant to use him as a sacrifice. The only way out is to play clever!

Using a game designer’s god’s-eye view, he uncovers every hidden plotline, unlocks the dark evolution of elves, and creates three secret identities to stir up trouble: Black Maple fans the flames of infighting in the Shadow Council, Mentor Darkmoon tricks players into working for him, and Silverwing Lord infiltrates the forces of light to steal intelligence.

With the Dark Codex in one hand and the power to rewrite the rules in the other, can Apostle Wu bring him down? Can Cullen plot against him? Does Enzo want to use him as a pawn? He answers with a crushing information advantage!

Nightmare wants to devour him? The world’s will wants to erase him? The players want to beat him up? Sorry, I’m the one moving the pieces in this game!

He won’t be the Dark King. He’ll be the one who rewrites the rules and dreams in the dark, tearing apart the hypocrisy of the light. On the continent of Karossia, he’ll live as the wildest villain of all!
