The world is struck by two apocalypses at once.
The apocalypse on the surface: a fungal biomass known as the “Gray Tide” spreads across the globe, consuming buildings, twisting the landscape, and releasing deadly spores. Survivors can live only in sealed “quarantine zones.”
The apocalypse of the mind: living alongside the Gray Tide is an unknown energy field that devours memories, known as “Memory Entropy.” It gradually makes people forget, starting with their most recent memories and eventually erasing their skills, emotions, and even sense of self, leaving them as dazed “hollow shells.”
Death is not the end. Forgetting is.
