If the Ten Clans Won't Have Me, I'll Burn the Stars

The five great star domains teeter on the brink of destruction, as an apocalyptic catastrophe sweeps across the cosmos. Blue Star is their final prey.

The elemental tides are fading, the “illness” of the Five Elements falling out of balance is spreading, and the Ten Clans’ iron laws imprison bloodlines. The howls of the “Boundary Wardens” tear across the snowy wastes, while the shadow of the “Shadow-Eroding Blade” looms over dark alleys. This is the eve of an apocalypse, a world where balance has collapsed and danger lurks everywhere.

Ye Wu is an orphan who crawled out of a hollow in a tree on the snowy wastes. The half of a water-ripple emblem engraved with the character “Fire” around her neck is her only keepsake. Bearing the promise to “live on,” bought with her younger brother’s life, she disguises herself with black hair as a “powerless” person and enters the Royal School, a stage for the Ten Clans’ power games. She does not know that her bloodline conceals the secrets of the missing heir of the Yue Clan and a genius of the Yan family, as well as Blue Star’s last hope for survival.

She lies low for ten years, breaks through the shackles of the Ten Clans, and investigates the blood feud that wiped out her family, only to discover that the mastermind is her own kin.

Her younger brother Xing Che, who once died taking a bullet for her, returns reborn, turned into a poisoned doomsday weapon by the enemy. “Green Vine,” who repeatedly carried her to safety when she was trapped in desperate straits, hides the deepest secret beneath his mask.

When she shatters the seal and her black hair burns crimson, the powerful of the Ten Clans finally realize that the prophesied black hope and red redemption are one and the same person.

The five great star domains seek to annex Blue Star. The powerful across the universe bow their heads in defeat, declaring that this world is doomed to perish.

Ye Wu wipes the blood from the corner of her mouth, grips Shadow Fang, and steps alone into another world.

“If the world cannot make room for even a sliver of hope, then I will carve out a new future for all living things with my own hands.”
