After Five Years in Prison for a Crime I Didn't Commit, the World Has Become a Forbidden Playground

Five years ago, Chen Mo, a brilliant police academy student, became a prisoner accused of “killing his father.” His father had been brutally murdered, and all the evidence pointed to him.

Five years later, he walks free, burdened by unanswered questions. His only keepsake is an old compass whose needle never moves. The world sees him as a disgrace, and his former comrades avoid him. Everyone thinks his life is already over.

But Chen Mo knows this isn’t the end. When the compass needle begins to tremble, he is pulled back to one bizarre, blood-soaked crime scene after another, and gains the ability to reconstruct evil. Others solve cases with evidence; he solves them by “seeing ghosts.”

This time, he will tear away the façade of the real world and declare war on the “things” lurking in the abyss. Using their own methods, he will make them answer for what they did to his father, and to him.
