Opening Prologue: One step of blood, one step of chess
The story begins with a carefully planned "accident".
In order to collect the sky-high surgical fee, Chen Jin accepted a commission from an underground agency: to go to "Blackstone Street" to deliver a sealed package. He didn't know that this was a secret transaction between Sihai Gang's "Yi" Zitang and Galaxy Capital.
The transaction site suddenly changed, third-party forces raided, and a bloody battle broke out. In the hail of bullets, Chen Jin relied on his extraordinary observation and calculation skills to not only escape death with the package, but also rescued the seriously injured young master of "Yi" in the chaos.
What's in the package? It is a "letter of surrender" that is enough to overturn the balance of the two major forces. Chen Jin, the unintentionally involved chess piece, instantly became the key to the struggle between all parties.
The choice is before him: handing the thing over to the police may result in being silenced; handing it over to the Sihai Gang may result in a reward, but it may also lead to a complete quagmire.
Chen Jin made a third choice - he cracked the encrypted message of the package and used it as a bargaining chip to have a thrilling negotiation with the leader of the Sihai Gang. He doesn't want a one-time bounty, he wants a position, a starting point that allows him to climb up based on his own abilities.
