Synopsis
Workplace drone Ran Ran discovers that the refrigerator in her home can connect the past and present. The person on the other side is none other than her mother, who grew up in the 1960s as the eldest daughter of a wealthy family.
Thinking of her mother, stooped and weathered, who had toiled her whole life only to be betrayed by her awful father, Ran Ran decides that her mother, who was raised in comfort, shouldn't have to suffer so much. So she sets out to change her mother's fate.
She trades for gold bars, helps her maternal grandparents' family move abroad, persuades her mother to remarry an army officer.
But without that awful father, how could she have been born?
She never expected that, to reclaim her family's assets and protect her beloved daughter, her mother would put herself on the line, beat up her awful father, kick out the mistress, go to college, and start a business. She even makes bold declarations for her daughter's sake.
“Anyone who dares bully my daughter, I'll bury them in money.”
“Sweetheart, I've found you a powerful new stepfather.”
“What? My daughter is being bullied during her grassroots training? Fire the people who bullied her.”
“She has no authority? She's the heir to a bank.”
