Rule Horror: The Smiling Granny

No one told Mo Qing that the price of being reborn was carrying the suffocating sensation of being sewn into a doll by the “Smiling Granny” and the agony of being torn apart by the reflection in “Mirror Alley,” only to stand once more in the morning light of July 15.

He clutched the burning safety pendant and looked back. Bai Yu was bent over an old, yellowed notebook. The scribbled words they had never managed to decipher before they died were now highlighted in red by his brother: “Don't touch the convenience store freezer during the Shen hour.” “Wait for three knocks before opening the drawer.” What shook him even more was that the scar on his brother's wrist, which should have vanished beneath the claws of the “Faceless Clown,” was now glowing faintly.

They had once been the most laughable prey in the world of the eerie, so helpless that even when they ran, they had to step on each other's shadows. Now they planned to be the first to plant their flag in the “Horror District.” They would use the blood and tears of their past lives to uncover the eerie creatures' weaknesses, turn the reflections in “Mirror Alley” into traps, and make the “Knocking Ghost” their informant. Step by step, they would gather the scattered survivors into a team and earn themselves a reputation as the “Boss of the Eerie.”

But just when they thought they could rewrite their fate with their memories, they discovered that the eerie creatures who were supposed to appear according to the “script” had begun to avoid their traps. Some even made a “kowtow” toward them at the mouth of an alley late at night.

It seemed that something in the eerie world had been “reborn” along with them.
