Great Ming: The Short-Tempered Jingtai Emperor, Ruthless and Talkative

The more books someone reads, the harder it is to reason with them.

The more they read the sages’ classics, the more hidebound they become.

You helped me ascend the throne, and in return I gave you wealth, rank, honor, and favor.

But instead of enjoying a good life, you insisted on bringing back my brother, the “Pig-Riding God of War.”

My brother, Zhu Qizhen, nearly brought the Ming Dynasty to its knees just to go “study abroad” with the Oirat.

Yet you still treated him like a treasure, determined to bring him back for the sake of some so-called ancestral dignity.

And what came of it?

You destroyed my family. Did you get anything good out of it?

Some were beheaded, some exiled, some had their homes confiscated, and some had their entire clans wiped out...

You literati really shouldn’t eat too well.

Once you’re full, you stick out your neck and start preaching about the Way of the Sages.

If reason won’t get through to you, then I know a thing or two about fighting!

Depose the crown prince, kill the emperor’s brother, execute the demon empress, wipe out the treacherous ministers...

Revive the Ming Dynasty. Watch me, Jing Tai!
