I Slay Gods in Rule Horror

I'm a new author, and this is my first attempt at a long novel. Please bear with me. Two male leads + ensemble cast + Rule Horror + expansive worldbuilding + no overpowered protagonist Note: A slow-burn story. Note: Everything in this novel is fictional and unrelated to the real world. This is an inner world that overlaps with reality, yet is twisted out of shape. Instances are independent spaces made up of anomalous rules, constantly encroaching on reality. The "Chosen Ones" selected by the System enter these instances, and their performance directly affects their country's national fate. Clearing an instance brings a brief respite. Failure triggers escalating population penalties. The instances do not appear from nowhere. Their history is entangled with major events from the past century of human history, a history that is being deliberately erased. Deep within the world, a myth is told of butterflies creating the world: insects were driven from their home and struggle in a new land, yearning to return to the nest. Several organizations vie for power in the shadows: Jiuzhou's Home of Hope and Beihai Base, Ross's Eye of the Storm and Everfrost Society, and Goryeo's Hall of the Foolish World... Each has its own agenda, maintaining a fragile balance through cooperation and suspicion. The rules are alive. They change, and they contradict one another. Here, staying alive is only the first step. The true battle is holding on to who you are.
