Black Flower: Hey, That's Your Husband!

Hei Xiazi, a master of his generation, has been feeling rather gloomy lately. His elegant and formidable partner, Xie Yuchen, came back from a tomb expedition with amnesia! He’s still the same person, but now he looks at Hei Xiazi as if he were some thug and strikes out with deadly moves. Hei Xiazi clutches his bruised kidneys and tearfully “takes” him home.

From then on, the icy-faced Lord Xie turns into a helpless, high-maintenance tyrant. “This water is poisoned.” (It just has goji berries in it.) “Stay away from me. You’re plotting something.” (He just wants to tuck him in.) Hei Xiazi feels like a fretful old father, as well as a punching bag who could get beaten up at any moment.

Amnesiac Xie Yuchen is confused, too. This blind man in sunglasses is a terrible cook, says infuriating things, and is always trying to get close to him. But why does it upset him when the man gets hurt? Why does his heart ache when the man sneaks over in the dark to tuck him in?

Then their enemies come calling. Their bodies react before their minds can catch up, and they fight back to back with the kind of perfect coordination you’d expect from a pair who had practiced a thousand times. Watching Hei Xiazi take a blade for him, Xie Yuchen finally snaps: “You damn blind man! Were we... actually a couple before?!”

Clutching his wound and grinning through the pain, Hei Xiazi says, “Your Highness, you finally asked the right question!”

A hilarious story about a man who loses his memory and thinks they’re sworn rivals, only to be lovingly doted on by his “blind nanny” and eventually bend himself back toward the right answer (not that kind of “bend,” obviously).
