After reading too many time-traveling stories about building airplanes and changing the world, I always feel that there is a little lack of human fireworks - can time-travelers really subvert an era with a few words of "modern knowledge"?
So I started writing about this group of different time-travelers: they fell into another world with modern memories, but they did not open the "technical golden finger", did not meet the "destined nobles", and gradually became "workers" of the imperial court. Some people relied on their accounting skills to become clerks in the household department, and they buried their heads in the account books every day to calculate grain taxes; some people knew a little about engineering and were sent to build river embankments, weathering the wind and the sun 996; others wanted to rely on historical memory to find a way out, but found that "prophet" was not as good as "obedient", and in the end they just stayed at their posts to earn a salary.
There is no ability to destroy the world, and there is no thrill of counterattack all the way. There is only the reality of a group of ordinary people traveling through time and seeking life in a strange dynasty - after all, even if time and space have changed, "working hard and living a stable life" is still the daily routine of most people.
This is my first novel, and I want to try to write a different time-travel story. If there are any shortcomings in the writing and plot, I ask readers to bear with me. I hope to receive your comments and help me make this "not so exciting" time-travel story more realistic and enjoyable.
