Great Ming: I Wanted to Be a Beggar, but Old Zhu Made Me Imperial Preceptor

Ling Feng opens his eyes in a daze. Other people transmigrate into royalty or nobility, but he gets dropped straight into the Hongwu era of the Ming dynasty as a beggar.

He immediately slaps his thigh and shouts from the street corner, “Zhu Chongba! I, Ling Feng, have a brilliant plan to make the Ming dynasty filthy rich. Come and welcome me!”

Passersby: “This beggar's so desperate to get his head chopped off, he's gone mad!”

Unexpectedly, his words really do reach Zhu Yuanzhang.

Old Zhu raises an eyebrow, hand on his saber. “Bring in that audacious beggar. I want to see what nonsense he has to say!”

Ling Feng is hauled into the Golden Hall. His knees are knocking, but he still talks tough. “Your Majesty, let's not chop off my head just yet! I'll teach you how to set up textile assembly lines and grow high-yield potatoes. In a year, I'll make the treasury three times fatter!”

Zhu Yuanzhang's face darkens. “Keep talking nonsense, and you'll end up just like this steamed bun!”

Ling Feng panics. “It's true! I also know that when you were a boy, you herded cattle for a landlord...”

Old Zhu: “Stop! Go on!”
