The Immortal Doctor of the Thatched Cottage Who Healed the Capital

Main Synopsis

[Male-Oriented Power Fantasy + Urban Farming + Miracle Doctor + Countryside]

Lin Chen returns to his hometown with a certificate of incomplete studies, a dilapidated thatched clinic left by his father, and half a sack of old herbs. He only wants to keep his father's village clinic running, but with one move he saves a choking child using the Heimlich maneuver, mends the village bully's father's broken leg with three needles, and wakes an elderly man from a feverish coma with herbal soup. This unassuming country boy turns out to possess medical skills that leave county hospital experts astonished.

From an incomplete-studies graduate accused of "practicing medicine without a license" to a man whose patients include a wealthy young woman from the provincial capital willing to drive three hundred miles for treatment; from a country doctor tending a few plots of medicinal herbs to a healer whose acupuncture gets a man paralyzed for three years to throw away his cane, forcing renowned doctors from the capital to come learn from him. In his thatched clinic, he uses the stethoscope his father passed down to diagnose the world's suffering. In the fields and herb gardens, he leads the villagers to grow medicinal plants and make a name for themselves. As trouble mounts, his compassion and medical skills overcome the schemes of rivals and commercial pressure, making "Lin's Herbal Remedies" famous throughout the capital and shattering the arrogance of city folk with his reputation as the "Immortal Healer of the Thatched Clinic."

This is the legend of a village doctor who holds fast to his stethoscope and ideals, journeying from a mud-brick house to the wider world. With his medical skills and passion, he carves out a path of his own between the countryside and the capital.
