Chen Weiting, a soul that has crossed through time, arrives in beleaguered Jinling. He is a Whampoa military academy officer, and his fate is tied to the eve of the nation's collapse. He has no godlike System to defy fate, only the heavy burden of historical memories and meager special assistance. Facing Japanese invaders armed to the teeth and boasting that they will “conquer China in three months,” he receives an almost impossible mission: before all-out war breaks out, build an elite force capable of facing the Japanese army head-on.
