Venerable Lord of the Cursed Jade

The story begins with a massacre in which demons slaughter an entire village in Dongning Prefecture, Wuzhou, within the Great Zhou Dynasty. The orphan Su Chen witnesses his loved ones die before his eyes, then unexpectedly awakens the family heirloom, the “Demon-Quelling Jade,” and stirs the sleeping remnant of an ancient primordial spirit within it, “Old Mo.” With the jade's ability to analyze baleful energy and assist in body tempering, as well as Old Mo's guidance on cultivation principles and battlefield experience, Su Chen takes “protecting humanity” as his creed and sets out on the path of cultivation. He enters Mirror Lake Dao Academy and grows alongside prodigies such as Meng Chuan. After passing its trials, he joins Primal Mountain, where he focuses on the Thunder God Body, later advancing it into the Thunderous World-Destroying Demon Body, while honing his blade arts and primordial spirit techniques. From bloody battles at North River Pass to purging traitors and defending justice in Jiangzhou City, from hunting demon kings in the rifts between worlds to protecting the gods and demons of the Cangyuan Realm, Su Chen always looks to Meng Chuan as his example. Rising step by step through the original story's major events, he ultimately becomes a Sixth Tribulation expert. Together with Meng Chuan, he clears the demon threat from the Three Bay River System and protects the Cangyuan Realm amid the great river of time and space.
