[Fanfiction, apologies for OOC, no CP, raising kids]

When Qi's warmth faded completely in Ling's arms, Ling's world lost its “sun.”

Time and again, he tried to break free of his ability. It was like a cold chain that trapped him in despair, making even death seem out of reach. But someone always pulled him back to the land of the living.

As Qi lay dying, he held Ling's hand. Though his fingertips were growing cold, he stubbornly said, “Ling, live again.”

Edogawa Ranpo, a lollipop in his mouth, set some sweets in front of him and took the knife from his hand. “Hmph! If Ji's red bean cakes weren't so delicious, Ranpo wouldn't bother with you!”

Dazai Osamu took the poison from his hand. The joking expression left his face, and he spoke seriously. “Oh dear, I wouldn't want Yu to get to the Sanzu River before me and see that beautiful scenery.”

Nakahara Chuuya tipped his head back and shoved a hand warmer into his hands. “Big bro, you can't leave Chuuya behind.”

Oda Sakunosuke set down his pen and looked at him earnestly, speaking slowly and clearly. “Ji, please live on for our sake.”

Akutagawa Ryunosuke lowered his eyes and bowed his head. “Thank you for saving my sister and me, sir. I want to repay you. So please stay with us a little longer.”

Nakajima Atsushi's eyes reddened as he hugged him tightly, his voice full of hurt. “Sir, I won't let you leave!”
