After the $5 Charity Meal Was Canceled, the Students Were Consumed with Regret

The five-yuan "Broke Student Special" I introduced went viral online, but got me summoned by the school administrators.

As a university cafeteria contractor, I specifically opened a cheap, all-vegetarian counter with unlimited rice, just so students from less well-off families could eat their fill.

Unexpectedly, a freshman posted it on the campus forum, mocking it with "cheap means nasty" and saying it lowered the school's standing. The post sparked heated debate across the internet.

I immediately shut down every five-yuan counter and accepted the warm invitation from the principal of the university across the street.

The next day, all the administrators and students were stunned when they saw the empty cafeteria counters and the long line at the other university's cafeteria.
