Synopsis
The day I was bound to “System 666,” I learned a shocking secret: I was the heroine of a novel, and my gentle childhood friend, Cheng Yu, was the original story’s villain. I had to abandon him and go to the original male lead.
I scoffed. “I’ve got a handsome, gentle childhood friend right here, and you want me to chase some stranger? Do you think I’m blind?”
The plot fell apart completely. The male lead didn’t transfer schools and pursue me as the script dictated. Instead, he got involved with the second female lead. Meanwhile, my villainous childhood friend and I continued falling for each other, sweetly oblivious to everyone around us.
System 666 decided to lie flat, but accidentally stumbled upon an even bigger truth:
It wasn’t my first System at all. I was actually the legendary first woman in the System world to play a System like a fiddle. As my memories returned, I looked at the gullible System before me and smiled.
I tricked and cajoled it, using both soft and hard tactics, and pulled it straight onto my “anti-plot” pirate ship. This time, I called the shots, and I was keeping my childhood friend, too.
(The novel includes scenes with the original male lead and the second female lead. They aren’t rivals.)
