The protagonist, Lin Ye, is not truly “mad.” His memories have been suppressed by the power of the gods, while the bloodline of an ancient god-slayer turns against him, leaving him trapped in Qing Shan Psychiatric Hospital. This seemingly ordinary hospital is actually a disguised ancient base for slaying gods, and its patients are all bloodline awakeners or victims of the divine. From “cognitive confusion” to awakening his bloodline, Lin Ye unlocks god-slaying techniques through his fellow patients’ “mad ramblings” and gradually finds his way out of the hospital. He battles the gods and their followers invading the human world, ultimately uncovering the truth that “gods are not supreme beings, but plunderers.” He becomes the new Lord of God-Slaying and clears the stigma attached to all the “madmen.”
