When Zhen Xi woke up, she had become a pitiful little girl in a primeval wasteland, one who had just lost both her parents.
Towering ancient trees surrounded her, the ground beneath her was slick with mud, and above her circled ferocious birds with wings spanning several yards. Below, she might run into a savage beast baring its fangs and watching her hungrily.
The original owner was so thin she was skin and bones, her stomach growling with hunger. In another moment, this cruel land would swallow her whole.
Just as Zhen Xi was about to despair, she unexpectedly bonded with an ancestral pocket dimension.
Inside were fertile black soil where she could grow grain and vegetables, a clear spiritual spring that could strengthen the body, and an abandoned baby who gazed up at her with big, bright eyes.
“From now on, I’m your mother.” Zhen Xi picked up the soft, cuddly baby, her gaze turning resolute.
Surviving in the wasteland was hard?
No problem. With her pocket dimension, she could clear land and farm, tame wild beasts, and stockpile food, making a wonderful life for them.
The tribe was short on resources?
She improved their tools, taught them new skills, and led them out of hunger and cold.
But why did the stern beastman, who always silently watched over her and was an incredible hunter, keep looking at her more and more strangely?
Zhen Xi: “Stay away from me. I just want to raise the baby and farm.”
The beastman replied in a low voice: “I can hunt to provide for you and the baby.”
