Rouge Stains of the Flourishing Tang Dynasty

I am Yuhuan, the last touch of rouge in the Kaiyuan golden age.

The year I first met Li Longji, he stroked my face and said, “To gain Yuhuan is to gain a priceless treasure.”

For me, he abandoned the six palaces, built a bathing pool on Mount Li, and ordered Li Bai to write the Qingping Melody.

But when An Lushan's iron hooves trampled the Rainbow Feather Garment Dance into pieces,

the ministers all cried in unison, “A beauty is a calamity!”

When he handed me the white silk with his own hands on Mawei Slope,

I finally understood:

A golden age needs a beauty to adorn it; an age of chaos needs a beauty to take the blame.
