The Legend of Erich, also known as "The Legend of the New Sanctuary", is a fantasy novel with the core of "Resistance to Set Destiny". Under Noam's guidance, Erich was shocked to discover that the world's widely known battle between the brave and the devil was actually a reincarnation drama directed by a huge "system" that maintained the world's energy and periodically reset civilization. All heroic epics and tragic sacrifices were nothing but well-written scripts. Unwilling to serve as a backdrop, Erich partners with Lina, a genius mage who also seeks the truth, and Rex, a rebellious warrior who is being hunted by the Demon King's army, and others, and embarks on a journey to explore the buried history. They sneaked into the restricted area, interpreted the ruins, and circled between the sanctuary and the Demon King's army, gradually piecing together the cruel truth of the world. In the pursuit and game, the team continued to grow and came into contact with an underground resistance network called "Blind Crow". In the end, the team's goal was to go straight to the source - the "Tower of Creation".
The story does not end with a simple victory. The end of reincarnation brings about the collapse of the old order and the throes of a new world. They choose to lead the world toward a free future full of infinite possibilities without preset scripts, written by all life. This is an epic about truth, freedom and choice. It tells how little people use knowledge and will to move the seemingly unshakable boulder of destiny.
I always feel that the big world view is unfolded too early, which leads to insufficient expectations for the subsequent plot. However, the description and wording are quite delicate. It can be seen that it took a long time to consider before writing. The only shortcoming is that the paragraphs are too long. If you don't read carefully, it will be easy to overlook some information. The style of the whole article is serious and epic, but maybe it would be better if some light-hearted elements were added as seasoning?
This is the first time I read such a novel. The story is very exciting. After reading one chapter, I immediately added it to my bookshelf and read it every day.
