The universe we know, with its stars, laws, and civilizations, is merely an "Era Bubble" drifting within the "Boundless Void Ruins." The Void Ruins are both the end and the beginning of all things, capable of devouring and assimilating everything. At the end of every era, the "Void Ruins Tide" rises and annihilates the current universe, leaving behind only its most fundamental fragments of law to serve as the foundation of the next era. Our story begins at the end of the Ninth Era, the "Era of Myriad Laws."
