Many years ago, rifts connecting the "abyss" of different dimensions appeared all over the world. The magic energy pouring out from it not only brought monsters, but also prompted some humans to awaken and become "hunters" with supernatural powers.
Hunters can improve their strength by hunting abyss monsters and exploring rift dungeons. Their strength is defined by a globally recognized ranking system, from low to high:
F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS
Level F~D: low-level hunter with weak abilities, responsible for cleaning up low-level monsters on the edge of the city, average social status.
Level C~B: Intermediate hunters, the backbone of society, able to form a team to challenge conventional rifts.
Level A: Senior hunter, a powerful person, highly respected, able to influence the situation in the region.
S level: strategic level existence, an important weapon of the country, capable of guarding large rifts alone.
SS level: legendary level, one of the few in the world, possessing subversive power.
SSS level: mythical level, only exists in theory, like humanoid natural disasters.
