An unprecedented miracle is born within the Martial Soul system of Douluo Dalu. The young Huan Xianchen awakens the Mutated Martial Soul "Glove of Myriad Illusions." Using a magician’s techniques, he manipulates reality, turning "misdirection" and "psychological suggestion" into an art of combat. Meanwhile, the mysterious young woman Shi Jingyao possesses the Ultimate Martial Soul "Heart of Time," which lets her glimpse the cracks in time and accelerate, slow down, or even locally reverse cause and effect.
After the two meet, their Martial Souls resonate on a profound level, binding their fates together. They explore ancient ruins and solve the mysteries of time, but in doing so, they touch a taboo of the world: a flaw in the laws of time left behind by the Dragon God’s fall. In the middle of the story, Shi Jingyao uses a forbidden art to avert Huan Xianchen’s certain death, leaving her soul trapped in a rift in time. Later, to revive his beloved, Huan Xianchen embarks on a world-creating journey to reconstruct the laws of Martial Souls. With an "ultimate magic trick" that spans dimensions, he brings Shi Jingyao back to life, and together they usher in a new era where magic and Martial Souls dance as one.
