“Yanyan, remember. Don't miss the auspicious hour.”
Wen Yan stands outside the Civil Affairs Bureau, thinking of her grandmother's dying wish. She only wants to make it come true. Whatever happens afterward, she won't regret it.
Her grandmother was a fortune-teller. Before she died, she cast a reading for Wen Yan, saying that tomorrow, February 18, at 10:10 a.m. would be an exceptionally lucky day and hour. Wen Yan absolutely had to get married then, and it would be a happy match.
That's why Wen Yan is waiting outside the bureau as early as nine o'clock.
But the appointed time is almost here, and there's not a woman in sight, let alone a man. There's no time left, so she runs to the roadside to look. Suddenly, a car stops in front of her and a man gets out. She hurries over.
“It's a fine day and a lucky hour. Handsome, want to get married with me?”
The man looks at the woman before him and nods.
And so Wen Yan begins her life as a married woman.
