The Silent Theater: Weaving Illusions in a Cage of Rules

The Silent Theater, where all living souls are pieces on a board.

There is no freedom here, only layers of nested cages made of rules; no salvation, only an endless cycle of death and reset.

In the upper-level Divine Curtain District, the Twelve Curtain Masters wield the rules, feeding on the mental energy of those below to nourish the ultimate illusion;

In the middle-level Curtain District, the privileged abet the wicked, using their fellows' despair as a ladder to advancement;

In the lower-level Stage District, “audiences” like Shen Yan are dragged into eerie performances every day: death, reset, and death again.

His parents were erased for breaking the cycle, leaving Shen Yan the theater's most “obedient” orphan.

For three years, he has carefully navigated one blood-soaked performance after another. No one knows that he hides the mental threads his parents left behind in his palm.

While others struggle to survive within the rules, he weaves illusions through the cycles

Altering monsters' perceptions and making murderous vengeful spirits slaughter one another;

Fabricating the illusion of promotion and luring the Curtain District's inspectors into a trap;

Exploiting loopholes in the rules and introducing cracks into the Twelve Curtain Masters' game.

When the Divine Curtain District's illusion core locks onto him and a second personality awakens deep within his mind, Shen Yan falls silent no longer.

Using himself as bait, he weaves an ultimate illusion that engulfs the entire theater, tearing apart the rules and bringing down the cage.

“You call yourselves the theater's directors?”

“Starting today, I'm the one writing this play.”
