[The Hongqing Novel Most Faithful to Official History]
(The historical course will not change much, so the timelines of the unofficial histories will still line up.)
(The official history in the early chapters provides the background. Readers familiar with this period can skip ahead to the unofficial history.)
After Ming governor-general Hong Chengchou was defeated and captured, as he was starving himself to death in loyalty to his country, a peerlessly beautiful woman entered his prison with a mission from her husband, Huang Taiji...
After that night, the loyal governor-general of the Ming died, and the hidden mastermind behind the Qing dynasty's century-long rise was born.
The bizarre death of Dorgon.
Shunzhi's outrageous act of having Dorgon's coffin opened and his corpse whipped.
Kangxi was sent away to a pox-prevention station as soon as he was born, cut off from the world, then returned to the palace with a face covered in pockmarks.
Shunzhi offered sacrifices to Chongzhen and wept that “there is a ruler, but no ministers,” then inexplicably became a monk and met a mysterious death.
Foreign envoys recorded that Kangxi, who ascended the throne at eight, was “as tall and robust as a boy of twelve or thirteen.”
After Kangxi took the throne, the Plain Blue Banner, where his birth mother lived, inexplicably rebelled, and then his mother died mysteriously.
Aobai, who had been utterly loyal to Hong Taiji and Shunzhi, became tyrannical and overbearing after Kangxi took the throne.
Why did Kangxi insist on abolishing the fiefdoms despite everyone's opposition?
The answers to everything lie in this book.
It would be even better if the part with Da Yuer was described in detail 🤭
Look at history from another perspective, well written!
When will you write Hong Xuanye? 🤦
Da Yuer, you are a ruthless person
Nice. What I like most about this book is that the author did not forcibly reduce the intelligence of any party or character in order to fit into the logic of unofficial history.
The subject matter is novel [laughter]
It's so fun to watch, and I'm looking forward to the next episode more and more.
It is a very interesting novel, but the political side of the protagonist is not very prominent, and the characters are not very three-dimensional. For example, how to plan or lay some foreshadowings to get rid of Dorgon or the regent, otherwise Xiaozhuang's love for the protagonist and the name of the prophet that readers know will lead to power, and the characters will be a bit thin. After all, Governor Hong suppressed both the peasant uprising and the Jiangnan gentry, so how could he have two brushes?
😄😄😄You write well, you write well
Good, well written, much better than other books👍
