On the first day of school, Lin Nuannuan accidentally "force-kisses" an icy, handsome guy, then leaves behind her sketchbook, full of secret little thoughts.
She thinks she couldn't possibly be any more mortified, but then he turns out to be her new neighbor and her boyfriend under a fake-dating contract?! Jiang Chen is a computer science genius, tall and handsome, and a man of few words, yet he always appears just when she needs him.
He wards off her admirers, teaches her to code, and spoils her rotten. Just as Lin Nuannuan is getting swept up in their little act, she accidentally opens the notebook he never lets out of his sight. On the title page, in her childish handwriting, are the words: "For my little sunshine."
It turns out every love at first sight was part of his long-laid plan.
It turns out the best surprise romance is with the childhood sweetheart you once lost and found again.
