A Dangerous Kiss Against the Light

Su Wan, a genius physics major, is forced to sign an unfair contract with business tycoon Lu Chenyi to save her mother’s life. She becomes the live-in tutor to Lu Chenyi’s autistic younger brother, Lu Xingchen. This transaction made in the name of love unexpectedly exposes secrets the Lu family has hidden for years: the mysterious death of Lu Chenyi’s mother, the old patriarch’s iron-fisted rule, and groundbreaking research into an ultimate energy source capable of changing the world.

From the Lu family’s luxurious villa to a crisis-ridden laboratory in Switzerland, from a secluded sanatorium in Vienna to a stormy night in the Alps, Su Wan and Lu Chenyi test one another and stand guard over each other amid a whirlpool of conspiracies. A sapphire cufflink conceals feelings left unspoken, betrayal and trust pull them back and forth, and danger and passion grow ever more intertwined.

As the secret of the ultimate energy source draws covetous eyes from all sides, and one life-or-death trial follows another, can these two people who walk against the light break free from the shackles of fate and find salvation and light in each other at the end of the darkness? With a delicate touch, author Da Dongzhou Diguo weaves a tale of a bond forged by fate across life and death, and an emotional battle of intense push and pull.
