“I woke up as Ximen Qing from Water Margin, the man disemboweled by Wu Song and killed in the most miserable way?!”
Lin Nan, a modern-day office drone, opens his eyes and immediately finds himself in the middle of the original owner’s mess: he’s just knocked Wu Dalang to the ground, Pan Jinlian is wiping away tears behind the door, and Wu Song will be back in three days. The countdown to death has begun. At the critical moment, the “Liangshan Brotherhood System” drops from the sky. Want to live? Stop causing trouble and start doing good deeds! Accumulate enough karma, and you can recruit Liangshan tough guys like Wu Song and Lu Zhishen as teammates!
And so, the whole story takes a wildly unexpected turn:
When others bully Wu Dalang, Lin Nan gives him money to open a “mini sesame cake franchise” and even teaches street thugs to turn over a new leaf and work as shop assistants;
Facing the murderous Wu Song, he hands over the deed to a shop and offers him improved sesame cakes as a pledge of loyalty, turning a “mortal enemy” into a “personal bodyguard”;
When an unconventional Ximen Qing meets the genuine Liangshan heroes:
Wu Song carries a blade to protect him on the road, Lu Zhishen takes a beating for him and knocks out the street thugs, and even Pan Jinlian helps him keep the books. While others join Liangshan because they have no choice, Lin Nan builds a “Liangshan family and friends club” by giving away money, warmth, and jobs!
Watch a modern-day office drone and his sharp-tongued System turn a villain’s fate around in the world of Water Margin. With kindness and a sense of fun, he transforms the name “Ximen Qing” from “lecherous fiend” into “Liangshan’s foremost living bodhisattva,” while gathering an elite fighting force and becoming the most outrageous, most satisfying unconventional winner in Water Margin!
