The Campus Heartthrob Is My Little Ancestor

The day Lin Xichi transferred back to the city's top high school, she stopped the icy campus heartthrob Xu Jiaheng in front of the entire school during the flag-raising ceremony and chirped, “Xu Jiaheng, my backpack is heavy. Carry it for me.”

The whole school expected to see her get coldly rejected. Instead, the famously taciturn top student, who couldn't even be bothered to accept love letters, fell silent for three seconds before obediently taking her backpack. His aloof image shattered completely.

As Xu Jiaheng's childhood sweetheart, the girl he had doted on since they were little, Lin Xichi is still his “one and only little tyrant” after their reunion two years apart. She claims the seat beside him and erases the line dividing their desks; she makes him fetch water and take notes, then draws crooked cartoon portraits on his uniform. When she can't solve a physics problem, all she has to do is poke his arm and he gives her a private lesson.

Xu Jiaheng's double standards never fail to show. He's cold and distant toward everyone else's advances, then turns around and asks Lin Xichi, “What do you want for dinner? I'll make it.” No matter how important his competition class is, he'll skip it to make porridge for her when she's sick. When someone questions her artistic talent, he writes “To my forever muse” beside her painting at the arts festival.

The school beauty's jealousy, rumors meant to drive them apart, and the challenges of moving on to higher education all become catalysts for their relationship. He clears obstacles from her path, and she supports him as he pursues his dreams. From the bickering antics of childhood sweethearts to a heartfelt confession witnessed by everyone, Xu Jiaheng proves through countless tender gestures that the whole world may see his aloof side, but only Lin Xichi gets all his affection.
