In Guangzhou in 1929, Ye Wanqing, the daughter of a thirteen-line businessman, faced the decline of her family business due to the current turmoil and decided to transform. She met Chen Jiashu, the son of an overseas Chinese who had returned from Nanyang. The two introduced a new business model, but they were squeezed out by established businessmen and coveted by the Japanese army. In the end, before the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, they transferred their assets to the rear to support the Anti-Japanese War.
