It's not a cool article, so don't have too much hope. I can't see official cooperation. The official provides information and lets the protagonist deal with it on his own. Except for the official people, they haven't seen it. Cults and other things have their inheritance from ancient times. The official doesn't have it. Even people from the Chamber of Commerce came to the door to provoke and no official people showed up. This is not cooperation.
