Yan Qing was bound to the “Background Character's Comeback” System. His mission was to serve as a stepping stone for the male and female leads' love story.
He rubbed his hands together, ready to give it his all, but every world went wildly off track...
[World One: A Fluff Lover?] He turned into a kitten to stage a dramatic encounter with his target, only for the enemy BOSS to rub his fur bald. The BOSS hugged him and declared, “This is my lucky mascot and savior. Who dares touch him?”
[World Two: Mind-Reading Warning] He spouted aloof, tsundere lines at the domineering CEO while frantically roasting him in his head. The CEO replied, “No matter where you run, I'll find you.”
[World Three: The Mermaid's Allure] He jumped into a pool as a research specimen, but the technician in charge of him hacked the control system overnight and held his hand. “From the moment I pulled you out of the water, you were all that remained in my world.”
[World Four: Zombie King? Meal Ticket!] He disguised himself as a survivor and infiltrated a human base. The leader took him in and looked after him closely because he was so adorably clueless. Later, when zombies surrounded the city, the leader stood in front of him, but Yan Qing crushed the Zombie King's head with his bare hands.
[World Five: The NPC Strikes Back] He was a “new player” in a horror game, and the ghosts and monsters were all terrified of him. But the challenger “Yama” thought, “My little monster should be kept safely hidden away by me.”
[World Six: Educated Youth and a Veteran] He couldn't lift a basket or carry a load, and the veteran spoiled him rotten in the countryside. One day, he brought out a high school textbook and a fountain pen and said, “I hope he can fly higher.”
Yan Qing: “System, there's no way I can do this mission!”
