The story takes place on the Xuan Cang Continent, a world of abundant spiritual energy where countless races coexist. Humans, demons, fiends, and ancient clans, including descendants of primordial races such as dragons and phoenixes, each hold sway over their own territories. War and alliances alternate, while grudges stretching back thousands of years simmer beneath the surface. The continent is divided into the Mortal Domain, where low-level cultivators gather, such as the Southern Region where Qingshi Town is located; the Spirit Domain, home to mid- and high-level powers such as major sects and dynasties; and the Sacred Domain, filled with ancient ruins and forbidden lands that conceal secrets about the world's origins. Powerful barriers divide the domains, and only those who reach a certain level of strength can cross between them.
